While on the subject of topics for your website, there is a term we regularly come across and that is “niche markets”.

 

 

 

What is a niche market ? 

 

Niche marketing refers to finding a segment of the general market for a service or product line. Though the segment may be small, there may be a high and regular demand for that particular product or service. Experienced marketers say that it better to target a niche market than a general one. 

 

To give you an example of a niche market, let’s say that people are generally fond of pets and dogs play a prominent part in this area. 

 

Obviously dogs need to be trained in a number of things and there are so many books telling you how to do it. So this is a general market, i.e. dog training. 

 

Now let’s say that a particular segment of people like to keep the German Shepherd as a pet. So people who are looking for information on how to train a German Shepherd make up a niche market. 

 

So in short, identify the unique needs of your potential customers, and look for ways to tailor your product or service to fulfill them.

Now, after having said so much about internet marketing for newbies, my task will not be complete if I don’t tell you about the importance of Customer Service. This for your you to remember and put into practice when you are ready to sell products from your website.

 Use the power of customer service to boost your sales and retain customers for life. 

 How will you get a major share of the business if your competitors are at par with you regarding product, services and price ?  

 The answer is - through superior Customer service ! 

You should take feedback from your customers regarding the product or service that you offer.
You should provide them with after sales support.
You should answer their queries via email, text chat or telephone.
You should NOT ignore them after the sale.

You should send answers specific to the question and Not general prepared scripts. 



  So take Customer Care seriously and watch your customers and profits   MULTIPLY ! 

 What exactly is good Customer Service ? 

In a nutshell, good customer service is service that makes your customer feel special, service that makes him or her want to come back and do more business with you, and also recommend your business to his or her friends, relatives and acquaintances.

Customer service is the most important factor in any business.

Never take a customer  for granted. Never for a moment think that he will meekly buy whatever you dish out even if it is a good product. Be grateful that he has chosen you to do business with and not a competitor. So, once you have the customer with you, do your best to keep him with you always. It can be done if you are able to deliver more than what he expects each time.
